A talk for parents of tweens and teens with Dr. Gail Dines, Professor Emerita and founding president of Culture Reframed, an organization dedicated to working with parents/caregivers to ​build resilience and resistance in kids to hypersexualized online content​.

 

In this workshop, parents will have a chance to talk about and learn:

 

·         How scary it can be to raise kids when sexual images, including pornography, are hard to avoid

·         The harmful effects of unrealistic and overly sexual images and content 

·         How to build resilience to harmful media messages and support healthier ideas about sexuality and relationships

·         How pornography affects the brain and can lead to habituation and addiction

·         Why your kids sometimes act in ways that drive you crazy

·         Action steps and resources on how to support and guide your kids
